Restaurants are required to discriminate against invoices

Invoice installments have to be broken down, recalls the Tax and Customs Authority.

AT clarifies that restaurant invoices cannot include expressions like "dish of the day", "dessert of the day" or "fruit of the day". If you find such cases you will be fined.

In binding information, with the date of yesterday, the Tax and Customs Authority reminds that the invoice installments must be broken down.

The problem is in the invoices that indicate a 13% VAT rate for the menu of the day, which includes desserts and drinks, which have differentiated VAT.

Contacted by TSF, the Portuguese Hotel, Restaurant and Similar Association (AHRESP) does not want to react to this news for now. However, an AHRESP source says that he is in permanent negotiations with the Ministry of Finance on this matter.

It also declares that it is committed to promoting good fiscal practices and fighting the black economy.
