The End of Internet Explorer and Java

AT on the E-Fatura website changed the SAF-T file upload process. As of July 12, 2022, the loading of the SAF-T(PT) file no longer needs to be carried out by the old process that used the Java applet.

 

In this way, without using the Java applet, it is no longer necessary to use the Internet Explorer browser. Microsoft on July 15, 2022 discontinues Internet Explorer. Microsoft Edge becomes the only updated browser, in order to be faster and safer.

 

Thus, whenever you want to upload the SAF-T file, you will have to use an updated browser, access the E-Invoice website (https://faturas.portaldasfinancas.gov.pt/) and click on "INVOICES / MERCHANT / SEND FILE".
